These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of HandyReckon, available at handyreckon.com ("the Site"), an independently operated website based in Sri Lanka ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms.

1. Use of the site

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Site for personal informational purposes. You may not:

• Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Site or its underlying systems.
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or bulk-download content without our prior written consent (standard search engine indexing is welcome).
• Reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from Site content without attribution.

2. Service provided "as-is" — no warranty

The Site and all tools are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We make no representation that:

• Results produced by calculators and converters are accurate, complete, or free of error.
• The Site will be available at any particular time or will be free from interruption, bugs, or security vulnerabilities.
• The formulas and methods used are appropriate for your specific circumstances.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

3. Not professional advice

HandyReckon does not provide financial, medical, legal, tax, or any other professional advice. All tool results are estimates for informational and illustrative purposes only.

• Financial tools (loan, mortgage, interest, debt, and investment calculators): Results are mathematical estimates only. Actual loan terms, interest rates, fees, and outcomes vary by lender and market. Consult a qualified financial adviser before making borrowing or investment decisions.
• Health and fitness tools (including BMI, calorie, TDEE, body composition, and pregnancy-related calculators): These provide statistical estimates based on general formulas and do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Pregnancy-related dates are approximations. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for health and pregnancy decisions.
• Tax, contribution, and tariff tools (including Sri Lanka income tax, EPF/ETF, and electricity bill calculators): Rates, slabs, thresholds, and tariffs change over time. Results are computed from the rate values configured on this Site as of the "rates updated" date shown on each tool, which may not reflect the latest official figures. Always verify against current official publications (such as the Inland Revenue Department or your utility provider) before relying on any figure.
• Date and time tools: Calculations assume the Gregorian calendar and do not account for jurisdiction-specific rules unless stated otherwise.
• File and image tools: Processing happens locally in your browser. You are responsible for keeping backup copies of your original files; we are not liable for any loss or corruption of files you process with these tools.

You are solely responsible for verifying results before using them for any consequential decision.

4. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HandyReckon and its operator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

• Your use of or inability to use the Site or any tool.
• Errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in tool results.
• Any decision made in reliance on information obtained from the Site.

5. Intellectual property

All content on the Site, including text, formulas, source code, and design, is owned by or licensed to the operator of HandyReckon and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or republish substantial portions of the Site without prior written permission.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
